I created two pieces last week to use some diamond shapes that I had left over from previous pieces.
I arranged the diamonds on top of an opaque light peach cream base.
With the Green Diamond piece, I used a shallow bowl mold. The mold is actually 12" square and the piece is 9" square, so this is a very shallow bowl.
I like it. It's a little retro.
With the blue diamonds, I arranged them into a flower shape.
With this, I used the ruffle plate mold because with the flower it has a nice girly feel.
One of my favorite things about glass is translucence. So, I don't generally go all opaque.
But I do like these pieces.
