Bowl or Cat Bed

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between a bowl and a cat bed... Good thing Benji was on hand to check it out.

Vitrigraph Accents

I've been pulling a lot of vitrigraph stringers lately, trying to clean up my excess scraps of glass.

I like to combine different colors in the pot and then use the resulting pieces as accents on a single base color.

Oval Bowl

Recently, I purchased several new molds including an oval bowl mold. I've been making these oval platters, so I have some practice cutting ovals. Unfortunately, the whole bowl thing is different than the platter thing because of the depth the glass needs to move.
The sides pulled in a lot while the ends didn't pull in at all. AND the sides pulled in unevenly because of the stripes so I ended up having to trim them a little.

This mold is going to take some practice.

3 O'Clock

I used to take pictures of my clocks with the hands set at the normal 10 to 2... so they look like they're smiling.

I have decided to start setting them to 3 o'clock so that they make an L.

As in Laurette.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

I know I haven't posted in quite a while. I have been busily making glass, shipping glass, and doing a couple of shows.

Recently, I made this mirror using some small cut up pieces of glass scraps.
